Feeling down

Life has been busy and I feel like things are out of control. I know God is in control and that is where my confidence is. Pray that I would seek God's will for decisions I face and that I would listen to Him. Pray for our staff and the building project--that we would have the determination to finish well.

Hurting Students

Tonight was amazing. God showed up and spoke to kids. Families are falling apart and they desperatlly need Jesus to be the prince of peace in their homes. We prayed with over ten students with families that falling apart. Please pray for healing and restoration for these families.

Its been a while

Well I wonder if anyone is still out there. I have totally neglected my prayer team. I need to get it going again so desperatlly. I am tired, weary and depressed all for no good reason. I love what I do and God has blessed me with great family and friends. I need to get some perspective and I have a vacation coming up. I confided in someone that I was struggling with some depression and they told me I am have a secret sin in my life. I wanted to come to blows with that person--no wonder christians have a bad reputation some times. I hope I will always have compassion and understanding for those who are hurting.

Pray that God would stir in my heart a passion and vision for ministry that is so compelling that it would deeply affect me and all those around me. Pray that I would overcome my depression and that I would learn to cope with the thought and feelings.

Pray that I would not run into my little hole but that I would be open and transparent.

Blessings,

Chad

Week of Sept 26th

Here is the Update:

1. We have seen a transition in our middle school ministry. We have a large number of Home School kids in our group now and it has changed the demenor of the group. (Not in a bad way) I asked the students a question on Thursday night about on a scale of 1 to 10 how their relationship with their parents is and most said 8 to 9 with one chiming in at a 4. This is very different than last years group. So all that being said we are evaluating how we are programming our ministry this year. Pray that we could make the biggest difference in the lives of the students that God has brought us.

2. We have a combined outreach event with Bethel Churches middle school group in a couple of weeks. Pray that they would enjoy our event and that many students would participate. Pray that they would meet our adult leaders build relationships.

3. We have the opportunity to participate in a missions event to Cabo San Lucas Mexico this summer and we need to get moving on this or we will loose our chance. There is a great deal of fundraising to be done and I need to find some extra time to get on it.

4. I have enrolled in seminary. Pray that I would find the time to do the reading and stay on top of the studies. I have enjoyed what I am learning so far.

5. Pray for the finances of FBC--That God's people would give out of a cheerful heart.

6. Pray that I would have a positive attitude and that I would not be negative.

Blessings,

Chad

Camp Review

Hey Gang,

I just got back from camp on Saturday. It was a great week for the students. Our leaders did a great job and the students really grew thru the experience. Praise God for the decisions made.

Here are a couple of requests:

1. I am going to Willowcreek's Leadership Summit. Pray that I would recuperate from summer camp and that God would expand my vision for ministry.

2. Pray for our fall program. Some great things are in the works and we just need to get some feet to the ideas.

3. Pray for our leadership--that God would bring those He wants to work with our students this school year.

Blessings,

Chad

Childrens Hospital

Hello. My name is Angie Evett and I have regularly attended FBC for several months. My 14-year-old daughter, Liz, has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Please add her to the prayer list. We are at the Children's Hospital in Seattle, and will remain in Seattle for the next several weeks, possibly two months, while she undergoes her first session of intensive chemotherapy treatments. So far her body is responding well to treatment, but she has been quite ill. We anticipate moving to the Ronald McDonald house tomorrow or Sunday.

If anyone at the church would like to, they may send her an e-greeting while we are still at the hospital. The web address is www.seattlechildrens.org; follow the link for Patients and Families.

Thanks so much,

Angie
